How do I know if a website is safe?

Last week we released a news feed which detailed the Coop's new Scam Checker tool, and we thought we would put it to the test. We added our website into the search bar it says we could be a scam! What? Clearly it is not that reliable at the moment. This information is based on the fact this site has only been operating for a year.

So we have enlisted the help of our Techspert Furqan Ashraf's (who works on the WhoisFreaks team, at JFreaks Software Solutions, which builds tools for checking websites and domain names), to see if there are any other safe searches which can be completed online to test if a website is safe before you visit it.

Furquan recommends whoisfreaks.com/tools/domain-reputation/lookup, just paste in the website name and get a simple safe, suspicious or malicious result, no sign-up needed, which we particularly like.

We tested this with our website and we were "Trusted" *** 3 stars!
