Businesses Beware: Food Festival Vendor Scam

North Yorkshire Council has released a warning on Facebook, fraudsters are targeting vendors for food festivals 2027 specifically Filey Food Festival.

This type of scam will naturally migrate to attack other businesses from food festivals to artisan markets possibly even to corporate ticketed events.

To confirm, the council are aware of scam adverts targeting vendors. These adverts are claiming incorrect information and requesting potential vendors pay urgently for stalls for next year.

North Yorkshire Council request any vendor wishing to attend next year head to Filey Food Festival Facebook page and await event dates and times.
