Royal Mail issues warning over fake red slips
Updated: Oct 12
Our postal service has put the country on red alert if an unexpected red slip appears through your door.

Royal Mail is the most targeted brand for scammers and fraudsters delivering to approximately 32 million homes and businesses six days per week.
Scammers are delivering red slips through our letter boxes and these are almost identical to the real McCoy. They include fraudulent QR codes and/or links requesting a nominal redelivery or customs charge. STOP! According to the Mirror, Following these links and QR codes will redirect you to a fake website again indistinguishable from Royal Mail.
Bank details are harvested as soon as you enter them.
Royal Mail shared a social post warning people to take a moment before following links.
The post advises "Scam texts, emails, websites and cards can look convincing,"
"They often claim there's an issue with your parcel and pressure you to act fast".
Remember: Red slips will never request payment.
You can report a scam red slip to: Reportascam@royalmail.com
