7726 Spells SCAM

What happens when we send a scam text to 7726 (which spells "SPAM") and is there any point?
This is a free service, you will not be charged for forwarding your suspicious text. You will get an acknowledgement from your provider and they should request the sender's number so they can block and track the fraudster. All of this is completed by your network provider.
The aim is to stop the scammers in their tracks at source.
To prevent other more vulnerable people from being scammed.
